Captain Geoff Robinson took a team to play in the Royal Blackheath Invitational 36 hole Foursomes competition on Friday 6 July 2012. Having won the event at the first try in 2010, the Burnham team had a reputation to manage and they did not disappoint. The scratch pair of Bill Thompson and John Smith carded a very respectable 75 gross in both the morning and afternoon sessions. Captain Geoff and his partner, David Lloyd scored a nett 73 and 78, giving the team an overall score of 301. This was good enough to beat the field, except for Royal St.Georges, whose handicap pair scored an incredible nett 63 in the morning session and 71 in the afternoon to give the team an overall score of 286, 15 better than Burnham.
