Joining the Club
It is a common misconception that joining a Club with the history and tradition of a long established Championship venue such as Burnham & Berrow is difficult. This is not the case and never has been. We have a broadly based membership with one common interest - to play golf all year on arguably the best courses in the South West.
How to join
Application forms are available from the Managing Secretary’s office or can be downloaded via the link on this page. The application form has the facility to include a Proposer and Seconder who are currently Club Members. We recognise that golfers moving into the area may not know any members so a letter from your current or previous Club is perfectly acceptable. There are ‘roll-ups’ for men on most days of the week and for Ladies and Mixed, on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Combined with the internet tee and competition booking it will not be long before you know everyone. For those starting to play golf there is the perfect solution of the Channel Course and our practice facilities.
Why join?
The obvious reason is that you are able to play two of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the South West. Over the years, the Championship Course has been the venue for over 50 national and international amateur events. In 2006 we staged the English Amateur, in 2009 the Tillman Trophy; whilst in 2011 we hosted both the Brabazon Trophy and the R&A Boys Championship. Not to be left out, the Channel Course is good enough to stage County Events.
